brave new now

For one year the Berlin Academy of the Arts is Devoting Itself to the topic Vertigo of reality. There is hardly a single issue in the arts that has been addressed as systematically as the construction and deconstruction of reality.  New media and the interactive possibilities of the digital world have fundamentally altered the arts and their Own reflective understanding. The project began in November 2013, with a series of events and debates every Wednesday at 5:00 pm as the “preparatory office”, leading up to a major exhibition and metabolic office for the repair of reality – a laboratory for all art genres in the autumn of 2014. Tomorrows Thoughts Today’s Liam Young will be presenting his Brave New Now research performance this Wednesday 5th March 17:00 at the Akademie der Künste, Hanseatenweg 10, 10557 Berlin. Admission is free.

A place found somewhere between the real and the imagined, both achingly familiar and exceedingly strange, stitched together from fragments of distant landscapes and speculative designed fictions. the event is free and open to the public.
