This weekend the music and arts festival DAZED LIVE run by DAZED and CONFUSED magazine will  be hosting an exhibition titled ‘A Celebration of the City through Self-Publishing’. The show includes a history of self-publishing from the 60s underground magazine OZ and the punk fanzines of the 1970s, to the London and New York mail art dialogue from VILE magazine and Ray Johnson, and zines that have evolved into publications such as ‘Sup and Art Rocker. Included in the exhibition is the latest series of Tomorrows Thoughts Today’s self published Projects including “Where the Grass is Greener- Postcards from a Sustainable Future”, Specimens of Unnatural History: ANear Future Bestiary vol.1″ and the “Imaginarium- A catalogue of Speculative Specimens”.  TTT also contributed to a radio show discussing the future of self publishing in the age of transmedia. At 2pm 29th June Liam Young will be speaking at the Futurising event in London. Chaired by Blueprint Magazine the event will be a gloves off showdown between online and print media in a battle for self publishing supremacy. Other panelists are Adrian Shaughnessy author of How To Be a Graphic Designer Without Losing Your Soul and Colin Davies, former editor of the Architects Journal. We will typically be ambiguosly falling between camps extolling the virtues of physical blogs.
