This thursday is the opening of the Imaginarium: A Theatre For Constructed Ecologies in Berlin. Co-curated by Tomorrow’s Thoughts Today and Studio Lukas Feireiss with Luis Berrios-Negron, this special exhibit is devoted to the prescient subject of ecological change and adaptations caused by artificial interventions into existing ecosystems. The Imaginarium forms part of the exhibition Examples to Follow: Expeditions in Aesthetics and Sustainability curated by Adrienne Gohler.

Liam Young, 24 08 10


Liam Young from Tomorrows Thoughts Today will be at the Venice Biennale this week presenting at a series of events as part of Beyond Entropy: When Energy Becomes Form. He will be giving a lecture titled ROBOT MONSTERS at 6.00pm 26th august and participating in the symposium from 11am-11pm on 27th August. Other speakers include Ricardo de Ostos, Tobias Klien on the 26th and Stefano Boeri, Charles Jencks, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Ricky Burdett and many more for the symposium. The event is held in the Fondazione Giorgio Cini located on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, across the Canal from St. Mark’s square. Then from 3.00pm on the 28th Liam will be giving a tour of the Australian and British pavilions at the biennale.

Darryl Chen of Tomorrow’s Thoughts Today was selected as a finalist for “Project Vienna - A Design Strategy. How To React to a City?” and is featured in an exhibition at the MAK in Vienna. The ideas competition called for future-oriented projects that expand the concept of design, and centred on the significance of design as a means to influence and shape society. Selected entries were selected on the basis of their subversive and speculative natures…. values we hold close to our hearts at TTT. The accompanying catalogue features essays from Archizoom’s Andrea Branzi and FAT’s Sam Jacob, among other Viennese notables.

TTT has been selected as an Associated Partner for the upcoming Europe-wide Art Festival Exchange Radical Moments! Organized by Austrian kollectiv, Die Fabrikanten, the format will encourage interdisciplinary projects that explore the nature of contemporary Europe and will culminate on 11.11.2011 as a moment of simultaneous fruition.
